Changing an AutoGenerateButton in GridView

I spent about an hour tonight trying to figure out how to change the text of the HyperLink generated by the GridView controls AutoGenerateSelectButton property when set to true. To do so, you must set it to false (default value) and use a CommandField control. You can do the same for any of the AutoGenerateButton properties.

<

asp : CommandField SelectText ="Show Details" ButtonType ="Link" HeaderText ="Details" ShowSelectButton ="true" />
